Our experienced technicians have been involved in certified and accredited sampling of environmental and other media since 1993. Within our quality management system we have working procedures and protocols for all types of sampling activities.
Christian Schmidt is responsible for the technical management of groundwater sampling. As a state-certified environmental engineer, he has been continuously developing the know-how and technical equipment throughout the years.
The groundwater sampling sector is accredited by the German accreditation body (DAkkS) as an external provider for an environmental laboratory.
Air sampling is performed in accordance with relevant standards, such as EN 14662, and can be tailored to fit any specific customer requirements.
For the employing of mobile and stationary measuring equipment, we work together with Meta Messtechnische Systeme, who has been our long-term partner working throughout Eastern Europe.
Further air sampling services include using Ion-mobility spectrometry technology (IMS), which can be used to determine the cause of odor nuisance when you are unable to determine which emission sources are responsible for the complaints. This technology can be used to narrow down the number of sources or potentially to identify exactly which source is responsible.
Through the use of Ion-mobility spectrometry technology, odor patterns can be recorded for each source in question. These measurements can be run over a longer duration in order to create a data basis which can then be submitted for evaluation by experts. Odor patterns can be determined for the specified area which will simplify subsequent measurements under alternative conditions or meteorological states.
For waste sampling activities we consider not only the site conditions, but also the type of planned recovery and disposal which is to be used to determine the sampling criteria. In addition, all general standards, such as the specific technical guidance documents and the individual requirements of disposal facilities are considered and recorded within the sampling protocol.
Reliable sampling of products or substances in industrial plants is always highly dependent on their matrix and the on-site technological conditions.
We work to ensure that the task is well planned in advance in order to get reliable results from the sample analysis.
In collaboration with partners from Germany and Great Britain, we have created various dispersion calculations, for example the distribution of pollutants into air from various industrial emitters in Ruse (industrial city in northern Bulgaria) and modelling of complex groundwater networks in Germany.
Additionally, we have worked on behalf of the German Environment Agency (UBA) to transpose into Bulgarian new requirements from European directives which have been adopted into the German TA Luft. In addition, we are presently working on the adoption of AUSTAL2000 (AUSTAL 3.0) in Bulgaria. An example of our work with UBA can be found here.
